Lufthansa, along with Air China, and Korean Air, are the only three airlines operating commercial passenger flights using the latest Boeing 747 variant, B747-8, in the world.

An Air China B748 (B-2485) lands in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN/ZGGG).
Lufthansa operates daily flights LH402/3 between Frankfurt and New York (Newark), and I've captured all three kinds of liveries.

TThere're a total of 19 B748s in Lufthansa's fleet, with averaging age of 9.0 years. Among them, the oldest D-ABYA, delivered on April 25,2012, is actually the only one wearing a new livery. She changed her livery from the old version in 2018. I guess it was during major maintenance.

On the contrary, the 7.7-year-old G-ABYT has her own unique retro livery. She reminds me good old days of aviation when aircraft and airlines on the ramps were much more diverse and varied.

The rest of them are wearing Lufthansa's classic yellow-blue livery. G-ABYP has the "1,500 B747" stickers on the tail. I haven't met her yet, but hopefully soon.
All of them are beautiful and elegant Queens of the sky!
